Muhammad Bahrul Ulum has Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the Faculty of Law at the University of Jember, Indonesia. When a bachelor student, he was one of the founders and to be elected as the first Executive Director of Forum for Legal Studies at this university. After completing his bachelor degree, he worked as an assistant to public lawyer at Legal Aid Institute Surabaya (LBH Surabaya), Indonesia.
In 2013, he got scholarship to pursue masters’ degree in India from Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). After two years of study, he completed his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Trade and Economic Law from the Faculty of Law at Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. When studying this masters’ degree, he was appointed to become a Vice Chairman and subsequently a Chairman at Indonesian Students’ Association in India (PPI India).
His passion is in research, then it brings him to secure the first winner of legal research competition held by the Constitutional Court of th Republic of Indonesia in 2009. In the subsequent year, he also won the first prize of National Law Debate Competition held by the University of Indonesia. His peak of excellence was in 2011 that he was admitted as the excellent student II of the year at the University of Jember. In addition, he got the Ambassador Award for Excellence from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia New Delhi in 2013.
He has INTJ personality which stands for introversion, intuition, thinking, and judgment. INTJ is a genuinely free and radical thinker who loves intellectual challenges and described as the most excellent personality type of 15 others to solve analytical and technical problems in a logical manner by incorporating theory and practice, which it incidentally then led him prefer to study law in the first place. INTJ throughout the world is dominated by many scientists, lawyers, judges, and engineers.
